Since 1977, MetroAction has had a strong dedication to the success of downtown Scranton’s business community. Over 30 years later, that dedication is stronger than ever. MetroAction has been involved in the rehabilitation of the 400 block of Linden Street, was a partner in the rebirth of the Historic Lackawanna Station and was involved in the establishment of Steamtown National Historic Site. Over the past few years, MetroAction’s downtown initiatives included the Welcome Bag Program, Downtown: 101 and the Campus Source. With the emergence of new and innovative businesses blending with those already established as downtown staples, MetroAction’s downtown program is heading in a new direction by launching a series of profiles highlighting the achievements and impact these businesses have on the local economy. Visit our blog for the latest downtown business profile.
