Bleaching Solutions, Ltd. Receives Aid From MetroAction
Since Bleaching Solutions, Ltd. first opened their doors in 1999, they have offered direct access to dental supply products for both doctors and patients through online stores. They offer a competitive advantage by not only setting up websites for their clients, but they also sell and ship the orders when customers order through that website.
When Bleaching Solutions was devastated by the 2011 flooding, owners, Heather Polit and Thomas Comerota, were forced to relocate from their original building in West Pittston to their current location on Main Street in Pittston. They turned to MetroAction for help and received a loan from The Luzerne County Flood Recovery Loan Program. They used the loan they obtained to purchase inventory, equipment and working capital to begin working on their new location.
“MetroAction really helped us out by providing the support we needed to make it through this challenging time. Their assistance made all the difference,” said Polit.
The Luzerne County Flood Recovery Loan Program, spearheaded by Senator John Yudichak (D-14), is a $4 million loan fund that offers loans up to $100,000 at a 1% interest rate to any Luzerne County business affected by the September 2011 flooding. The funding can be used to refinance any debt incurred as a result of the flooding, purchase equipment, renovations, purchase inventory, cleanup flood damage and for working capital. There are no applications or closing costs associated with this program.
On November 17, 2012, The Luzerne County Flood Recovery Loan Program will transition into a revolving loan fund that will help any eligible Luzerne County businesses with financial assistance, not just flood affected businesses.
