Helpful Tools for Child Care MicroGrant Applicants

Have you applied for a MetroAction Child Care MicroGrant and not been chosen as a recipient?  Do you have questions about the MicroGrant application process? Do you want insight on the types of projects our review committee is looking for?

MetroAction wants to make sure that all child care providers have the resources and information necessary to submit a strong grant proposal.  That is why we have scheduled a free Child Care MicroGrant Help Session teleconference to make the application process easier for applicants.

The help session will be held on September 23 from 12:30 – 1:30 PM.  Child care providers that are considering submitting an application are encouraged to sign up  for this free help session — pre-registration is required.

This session will cover the following topics:

o Our new funding priorities
o How to increase your chances of receiving a grant
o Successful project examples
o Tools and resources available

In addition to the topics listed above, participants will have the exclusive opportunity to ask questions directly related to the MicroGrant program.

Child care providers that are considering submitting an application are strongly encouraged to sign up for this free help session. And, we made it as easy as possible. You don’t even have to leave your business to attend. Help is a simple phone call away.

We’ve also put together a Grant Application Sheet  and sample project ideas  to help you prepare a successful grant application.  Also, each year we post summaries for the projects that receive a grant.  We strongly encourage all applicants to review these summaries for insights on what our review committee looks for.

This year we are targeting our grants to specific funding priorities.  Your project must fall into one of these four categories.  Remember, we give preference to projects that utilize innovative approaches.

We pride ourselves on being open and accessible to all grant applicants.  Please feel free to contact our staff to discuss your project prior to preparing your grant application.
