Success Through Succession

MetroAction has a great panel discussion lined up for the October 13 Business LINK seminar.  We’ve partnered with Penn State Worthington Scranton to present “Success through Succession, a panel discussion on family business transition planning”.

Hear, first hand, from the area’s top family owned business leaders how you can strengthen, secure and grow your business so it thrives for generations to come.  Learn about the transition challenges their companies faced and the lessons learned from them; how to approach family dynamics and conflicts, including exit strategies for some family based managers, as well as valuable resources on how you can implement your own succession plan.

Because this is an interactive discussion, please feel free to bring your own questions.

Panelists include:

“With family-owned businesses comprising nearly 90% of all business enterprises in North America, the greatest part of our country’s wealth lies with family firms. Yet, in the next five years, leadership of nearly half of those family-owned businesses will change hands.  Success through Succession’s panel members will teach participants how to strengthen, secure and grow their businesses so they thrive for generations to come,” says Dara Coslett Granza, training and development specialist, MetroAction.

Success through Succession is presented as part of MetroAction’s Business LINK series and will take place on Tuesday, October 13 in room 201 of the Business Building on the campus of Penn State Worthington Scranton, 120 Ridge View Drive, Dunmore. Networking and registration begin at 8:00 a.m. The seminar runs from 8:30- 10:30 a.m. Cost is $30, per person and breakfast is provided.
