MetroAction Salutes Small Businesses During National Small Business Month

May is National Small Business Month.  MetroAction salutes the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation and determination that makes small businesses the engine of our economy and our nation’s economic recovery.  Local small businesses are proving their resiliency as they continue to drive economic growth and job creation in northeastern Pennsylvania.  

In honor of National Small Business Month, MetroAction will recognize the area’s top small business leaders at our Small Business Awards Luncheon.  Recipients of the following awards will be named:

• Fidelity Deposit and Discount Bank Small Business of the Year
• New and Emerging Small Business
• Virtual Small Business
• Small Business Advocate
• Young Entrepreneur

The Small Business Awards Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 25 at The Hilton Scranton and Conference Center, 100 Adams Avenue, Scranton.  Registration begins at 11:00 a.m., with the luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $25 for Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce members and $35 for non members.
